Safety Suppliers

  The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health Management (IOSHM) was founded in 1981 and was named Association of Health and Safety Managers. In 1998, the Association changed its name into IOSHM   

The objectives of the institution are to:

  • To promote the profession of Health and Safety at work

  • To look after the welfare of all its members

  • To delegate members to overseas studies, attachment, seminars in   view of improving their knowledge

  • To advise the members on all questions relating to Health and Safety. 

Vision Statement

IOSHM aspires to be the leader in the promotion of occupational safety
and health in Mauritius.

     

Mission Statement

 IOSHM will promote safety and health awareness and responsibility among all citizens in the country. 

IOSHM shall:

·               Promote, plan and organise professional development and other safety and health -related activities for its members and the community at large.

·               Collaborate with the Government on all matters pertaining to safety and health.

·               Secure partnership, working relationship and networking with Employers’ organisation, Trade Union, professional bodies, educational institutions and international health and safety institution for the promotion of safety and health 

Additionally, IOSHM will require that its members:

·               adhere to its Code of Professional Conduct; and

·               seek standards of excellence within their organization.
